As an Akron cake smash photographer, I get to celebrate so many special milestones — but first birthdays are always some of my favorites. This sweet girl came into the studio full of smiles, ready to take on her big day! From start to finish, she was all giggles and joy, and it was such a treat to capture her happy personality on camera.
We started the session with a few family photos. Her big brothers were so proud, taking turns snuggling her and helping her smile for the camera. You can tell how much she adores them! Mom and dad joined in for a few photos too — I love getting these moments before we bring out the cake because it shows what life looks like at one, surrounded by love and laughter.
Next, we moved into her milestone photos. She lit up the studio with her big smile and twinkly eyes. I think she loved having the space all to herself! Every time she looked at the camera, you could just see how happy she was — the kind of joy that makes everyone in the room smile too.
Then it was time for her cake! The beautiful white cake was made by Honey Bee Bakery in Medina, and it was the perfect touch for her simple, sweet setup. She had so much fun digging in — a little frosting on her hands, a few bites in her mouth, and lots of laughs along the way. We wrapped up with a quick splash in the tub, and she kept right on smiling.

I love including a video with cake smash sessions because it brings the photos to life and captures all those little movements and expressions that change so quickly at this age.
